Streetteam
Introduction & tasks list
Do you like the bands GSR puts out like Madball, Born From Pain, No Turning Back, Knuckledust, Maypole, Rag Men and so on…? Do you think that in your area GSR is not promoted enough? Well here’s your chance to get involved and help us out in your area.

GSR is starting up a Street Team to get promotion to new kids via kids that already support and are fans of the GSR pack. This guerilla type of promoting has proven itself in the past and now you can join in promoting GSR in your region. The tasks you’ll be covering contain stuff like; passing out flyers, samplers and stickers, retail tracking and helping out with GSR events (EHCP, Midsummer). Passing stuff out will be done at: schools, shops, clubs, shows etc. Promoting GSR on the internet will be a part of your duties as well by posting banners and mp3’s on message boards along with generally promoting GSR on websites in anyway you can. Keep GSR updated with reports on tasks done. By reporting you’ll get points and the more points, the better the reward you’ll receive.

So if you’re up for helping us out, sign up here and fill in the registration form!

FAQ
Q:  What’s a Street Team?
A:  Street Teams are comprised of fans that get together to help expose their favourite band to friends and fellow music listeners in their region. We’ll be sending you promotional material of new releases, tours and any other stuff concerning GSR. We’re asking you to spread these items at clubs, schools, shows, shops etc… It’s mostly up to you how you choose to promote us since you know your area better then we do.

Q:  How much time do I need to spend on the street team?
A:  Every time GSR has something to promote you come in action. That means with every release or band touring in your region we’re going to need your help creating a buzz. How much time you spend is up to you. As far as we are concerned you just spend the time you think is needed for your area to get GSR bands as much exposure as possible.

Q:  Why do I have to report?
A:  Reporting to us is very important because we want to know how our material is being spread. When we take the effort to send you our stuff you can imagine we want to know that it’s being used for the right purposes. By reporting you also earn points. The more points you get, the better your reward will be!

Q:  What’s in it for me?
A:  First of all you get to support GSR bands. Secondly you won’t get paid monetarily but you will get rewarded for your work with free promo material and occasional treats like albums, band t-shirts and free entry to GSR band’s shows and events.

Rules and conditions
GSR does not want you to spam at clubs or shops without permission of the club or shop itself. If you want to put op posters in those places be sure to ask for permission. The same goes for schools and other public places. Make sure you put posters where they won't be ruined by weather or removed by city sanitation. Also obey local laws concerning putting up posters. GSR promotional material may not be reproduced and translated without permission. All the information collected through the registration form will be kept private and used for GSR’s use only. Our promotional material mustn’t be thrown away or destroyed. If you think that you’ve been sent to much and you can’t handle it then please get in touch so we can discuss that issue. Do not spam e-zines too much. It’s alright to be enthusiastic but keep it controlled. Make sure you keep sending us reports through E-mail on what you’ve done with the promotional material we’ve send. If you send in good reports about your work you get points and eventually get better rewards. All promotional material provided to you is to be given out freely. It may NOT be sold. If you want to contact the band, management, venues, security guards, publicist, tour manager, directly as a member of the Street Team, we must be made aware of your plans in advance, and approve the requested contact.
